Cococello is a Member of One Percent for the Planet

Even though I officially became a member of One Percent for the Planet on February 17, 2010, my listing now appears in the Member’s section of OnePercentForThePlanet.org under “Branding, Communications, Design & Marketing” as well as “Web Design & Development”.

I’m really excited to be a member of One Percent for the Planet.

Being a member of One Percent for the Planet means that 1% of my business will go to non-profts who are “committed to a healthy planet”.

One percent may or may not seem like a lot. I guess given the number of members it has to have a cumulative effect. Knowing that my one percent goes to nonprofits who have been screened and work on issues of sustainability feels really great.

I suppose it was my years in journalism that prevented me from signing up for anything that had “a position”. But it is a career in journalism that exposed me to so many issues facing us and our planet.

Now all I need to do is figure out which non-profit gets my donation!
